Em Squatrito is a professional violinist and violist with their B.S. in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University. They also play cello, bassoon, and sing. They have performed with numerous vocal and instrumental ensembles since graduating including but not limited to, the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, the Interlakes Summer Theater pit orchestra, the Norwalk Conservatory A Cappella group and various high school and college musical and opera productions. During most of their time at WCSU, they sat as principal in the second violin or viola section in the Orchestra and principal bassoon in the Symphonic Band. They were also the Assistant Music Director of one of WCSU’s A Cappella groups, Play It By Ear and co-founder of the Strings Club. Em has taught students of all levels and would love to share their passion for music and would love to have you join them in sharing the joy of making music!

Learn the fundamentals, from keeping a basic, steady tempo, to playing the lead violin in an ensemble. Maybe you always wanted to learn to play violin but never had the time. Learning to play the cello will develop problem solving skills, discipline, and self expression.
